Thai Buffet Luncheon Fundraiser
Bring your friends and family for an authentic Thai meal prepared by Ora and served "al fresco" in her beautiful garden in Interlomas. Proceeds to help fund the monthly luncheons for the Seniors of San Fernando.
When: Sunday, October 21 at 1:00 pm or Monday, October 22 at 1:00 pm
Where: Interlomas, exact address given upon registration
Cost: Adults $700 pesos, Children 8-12 $350 pesos, Children under 8 free

A little bit about Casa de Ora:
Fundacion Ora was started by Ora Anekananda in 1999 because of the need she saw in the community of San Fernando. She had been providing food on an ad hoc basis for children in that community, but soon realized that the Seniors needed help as well. In partnership with the priest and the Parish, she established a monthly hot meal program held at the Catholic church. What started with 20 seniors now serves 80-100 elderly a month. Ora purchases the food, then with the help of 8-10 volunteers, including people from the International Women’s Club and the Asian Women’s Club, Ora prepares and serves a 3 course meal to the seniors. The group celebrates the birthdays of those attending on their birthday month with cake and a small gift. At Christmas, each senior is giving a dispensa and a gift at the Christmas lunch. It is a very happy social occasion with interaction between the seniors and the volunteers. Ora also provides used clothing, and adaptive equipment like canes and wheelchairs.
