Dolores Olmedo Museum
IWC partners with Understand Mexico to bring you a fun walking tour.
Dolores Olmedo was a self-made, savvy business woman and patroness of the arts. Her ex-hacienda home, “La Noria,” has been converted into an impressive museum exhibiting the largest private collection of easel paintings of her dear friend Diego Rivera and his wife Frida Kahlo. The grounds of her home remain much as they were when she lived here, with peacocks and hairless dogs wandering the hacienda (the xololxcuintles are descendants of Diego and Frida's pets).
