There are several options for cleaning your fruit and vegetables.
- You can buy products called Microdyn or Bacdyn—these are added to tap water which is then used to clean the fruit and vegetables by soaking for 10 minutes, removing the fruit and vegetables and letting them dry.
- You can use a solution of Clorox and water (1/2 teaspoon to a gallon of water). Soak fruit and vegetables for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with potable water.
- You can rinse visible dirt and soak in grapefuit seed extract or a vinegar/water solution (1C vinegar to 3C water).
